Secure Your Site with ROCON

Ensure your site is secure with HTTPS by uploading an SSL certificate or using ROCON’s Auto SSL feature. Follow the steps below to configure SSL for your domain.

Upload an SSL Certificate

To manually upload an SSL certificate for your domain, follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the Manage Sites section and open the Domains Hosted page.

  • Locate the domain you want to secure and click Go Live. (To delete a domain, click the Delete icon.)

  • Copy the provided IP address for your DNS provider. Choose Pre-verify for minimal downtime or skip pre-verification, then click Next.

  • Select the Upload SSL option by clicking Go Live.

  • In the pop-up window, enter the following:

    • Certificate

    • Private Key

    • Certificate Chain

  • Click Next to proceed.

    • Update the wp_options table:

      • Copy the provided URL.

      • Click Update to access your site’s PHP database.

      • Update the siteurl and home fields with the copied URL.

    • The SSL certificate will be applied, securing your domain with HTTPS.

Congratulations! Your site is now secure with HTTPS, ensuring encrypted communication and data integrity for your visitors.

Auto SSL: Generate & Verify Challenge

To automate SSL certificate generation using Let’s Encrypt, follow these steps:

  • From the Manage Sites section, go to the Domains Hosted page and select the domain you want to secure.

  • Click Go Live for the domain. (To delete, click the Delete icon.)

  • Copy the provided IP address for your DNS provider, then select Auto SSL.

  • Provide an email address for SSL-related notifications and agree to Let’s Encrypt Terms of Service.

  • Click Next to proceed.

  • You’ll receive a TXT record value. Add this to your DNS records:

    • In your domain provider’s DNS management section, create a new TXT record.

    • Set the name to _acme-challenge.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain).

    • Set the value to the provided TXT record.

  • Verify DNS propagation using a tool like dnschecker.org. Ensure _acme-challenge.yourdomain.com is accessible across multiple DNS servers.

  • Once propagation is confirmed, click Verify to complete the Auto SSL process. The system will generate the SSL certificate.

Note: DNS propagation may take time. Wait until the TXT record is fully propagated before verifying. Ensure you have access to your domain’s DNS management to add the TXT record.

Congratulations! Your domain now has an automatically generated SSL certificate, securing your site with HTTPS.
